Bookmark Exporter

Export all browser bookmarks or choose exactly which folders and links to download. Connect the standalone extension for live Chrome, Edge, or Firefox bookmarks, or import a bookmark dump manually, then export JSON or browser import HTML.

No bookmark data is uploaded to our servers. This tool works entirely client-side in your browser, including import parsing, bookmark selection, preview generation, and downloads.

Step 1

Choose your export source.

Pick one of two options: Automatic for the quickest path, or Manual if you already have a bookmark HTML export.

FAQ

Which download should I use to import bookmarks into a browser?

Use Download HTML. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and most other browsers import bookmarks from the Netscape bookmark HTML format. JSON is useful for backups and custom tooling, but it is not the normal browser import file.

Does Bookmark Llama upload my bookmarks?

No. Bookmark titles, URLs, folders, previews, and generated download files stay in this browser. This exporter works client-side and does not send bookmark export data to Bookmark Llama servers.

Can I export only selected folders or bookmarks?

Yes. After importing bookmarks, use the selector in step 2 to keep only the folders and links you want. Both the HTML and JSON downloads are generated from that selected set.

What if I cannot install the extension?

Use manual import. Export a bookmark HTML file from your browser, then upload or paste it into this page. We have import and export guides for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.

Can I use the exported HTML in a different browser?

Yes. The HTML download uses the standard bookmark import format supported across major browsers, so it can move bookmarks between Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and other browsers that accept bookmark HTML.
